Why start a Blog???

Starting a blog is something I’ve considered for a while, I’m a wear your heart on your sleeve kind of guy. I have no problem sharing my thought with others and this way I don’t have to chew the ears of my wife and work colleagues. You’re here reading my words and you may decide to come back and read more or you may decide not, either way I share my thoughts and I can look back at them.

One big factor was to improve my literacy skills, I’m not the best speller and although I do try my grammar could be better, but I’m hoping this will improve with time. Please forgive me for things that slip through but I won’t be offended if you wish to point these out or give constructive criticism. I’ll openly admit that I’m better with my hands then my head so things may not be written like an award winning writer.

I have to confess I’m not much of a blog reader, so I may be doing this all wrong. I’ve flicked through a couple of sailing blogs on the net, and I’ve found the majority quite interesting and I do pop back to a few of them. I do however watch quite a few sailing vlogs on YouTube, I’ll do a separate post on my favourite ones at some point. I’m not sure I’m quite ready for film production myself at the moment but maybe at some point in the future. What I have seen in these is there’s a great amount of networking and support from each vlogger.

As it mentions on the home page I live in sunny Shropshire, however I grew up not to far away in slightly grey Wolverhampton (I really do love the place). I moved over here nearly five years ago when I moved in with Louise, who I have somehow managed to talk into spending the rest of her life with me! Although I feel very much at home here (I would feel more at home nearer the sea) I don’t know many people, so maybe this blog will open up some opportunities and I may meet new people and try some new and different things.

So I’ll keep this short and I’ll say hello and thank you for taking your time to read this, leave a comment if you wish, it’ll be nice to know someone’s reading this. I’ll do my very best to put up a new post weekly so keep popping back.
